This branding project was my attempt at breaking out of “my style”. Prior to this project I had only done projects around my interests using color schemes that felt very me. This time I wanted to explore something that I was unfamiliar with. Something soft and more feminine than my previous projects.
With branding being the key component of this project, it was important I effectively conveyed the brand. With an emphasis on softness, I went the route of muted greens and blue to loop in the nature. A rounded sans serif typeface coupled with rounded and curved symbols helped create a cohesive visual language.
With any branding project it is important to look at the possible use cases of the visual system. In this case I created letters, envelopes, business cards, etc. to further expand the system.
Next was establishing what the product would look like. I decided to have the visuals warp around the bottles. This was to continue to enforce the nature throughout the branding. Where some of that messaging would be lost if abruptly cut by an expected label size.
